A MINISTRY OF ENCOURAGEMENT

TRUE VICTORY

TRUE VICTORY

Please don’t look to me,
I will probably let you down;
Don’t lean on my strength
It will only make you frown.

Please don’t depend on me,
I’ll most likely disappoint;
Don’t place your bets on Jeff,
But I will help you locate joy.

Please look unto Jesus,
He came to lift you up;
You can count on God’s Son,
To fill your heart with perfect love.

Please depend on Christ the Lord,
You’ll *never ever* be ashamed;
Give everything you are to Jesus,
True victory is in His Name!

MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST
_____________________

HAVE YOU COME TO “WHEN” YET?

And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed
for his friends.

Job 42:10

The plaintive, self-centred, morbid kind of prayer, a dead-set that
I want to be right, is never found in the New Testament. The fact
that I am trying to be right with God is a sign that I am rebelling
against the Atonement. “Lord, I will purify my heart if You will
answer my prayer; I will walk rightly if You will help me.”  I can-
not make myself right with God, I cannot make my life perfect; I
can only be right with God if I accept the Atonement of the Lord
Jesus Christ as an absolute gift. Am I humble enough to accept
it?  I have to resign every kind of claim and cease from every
effort, and leave myself entirely alone in His hands, and then
begin to pour out in the priestly work of intercession. There is
much prayer that arises from real disbelief in the Atonement.
Jesus is not beginning to save us, He has saved us, the thing is
done, and it is an insult to ask Him to do it.

If you are not getting the hundredfold more, not getting insight
into God’s word, then start praying for your friends, enter into
the ministry of the interior. “The Lord turned the captivity of
Job when he prayed for his friends.” The real business of your
life as a saved soul is intercessory prayer. Wherever God puts
you in circumstances, pray immediately, pray that His
Atonement may be realized in other lives as it has been in yours.
Pray for your friends now; pray for those with whom you come
in contact now.

FREEDOM IN JESUS

FREEDOM IN JESUS

Walk in God’s Light,
Hold your heart to His Way;
Live in God’s Truth,
Take every chance to pray.

Trust in Eternal Life,
Put your faith in God’s Love;
Stay in God’s Word,
Find your freedom in Jesus

All About Others

John 3:16

God loves the world so much He gave His
Son so that whoever believes in Him will
not perish but would have eternal life.

ALL ABOUT OTHERS

It’s all about others,

Our sisters and brothers,
Who live in this world beside us…

Without others to pray for,
All our prayers would be selfish,
And fall flat without passion or love.

It’s all about others,
Our sisters and brothers,
Who often seem to divide us…

Ah, but without sinners to pray for,
We’d forget who our Lord died for,
And soon we’d forget about Jesus.

It’s all about others,
Our sisters and brothers,
Who don’t know what they’re missing…

The quicker we love them,
The sooner they would listen,
The more family will make it to heaven!

ONE FAITH

This morning I heard a staggering number – 150,000 – the number of
preachers each year who leave their ministries serving Jesus to pursue
their way of living by some other means. Later I came across a Michael
Card / JMT video on Truveo I thought fit perfectly. So, with a prayer for
all pastors, Bible teachers, friends and family who desire to live for others,
love Jesus, and trust His Way for life in this ever-darkening world we live,
this poem is for you. “There is one faith, one hope… one God and
Father… given so freely to all.”  FullyRelyOnGod, Jeff & Evelyn

SHEPHERD ME WITH LOVE
I’m fallen and lost,
I can’t find my own way;
I’m broken and tossed,
Worry ruins every day!
I’m deaf and afraid,
I’m blind in my own truth;
God I need You again,
My future has no root!
I’m bloodied and bruised,
I don’t enjoy my own life;
I am weak and abused,
Pain cuts like a knife!
God help me, Lord Jesus,
Are You still there in my heart?
Lord, shepherd me with love,
Carry me back to where you are!

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes
me to lie down in green pastures; He leads my beside
the still waters. He restores my soul….–Psalm 23:1-3
Human nature being what it is, the man of God may
soon adopt an air of constant piety and try to appear
what the public thinks he is. The fixed smile and
hollow tones of the professional cleric are too well
known to require further mention.
All this show of godliness, by the squeeze of circum-
stances and through no fault of the man himself, may
become a front behind which the man hides, a plain-
tive, secretly discouraged and lonely soul. Here is no
hypocrisy, no intentional double living, no actual
desire to deceive. The man has been mastered by the
circumstances. He has been made the keeper of
other people’s vineyards but his own vineyard has not
been kept. So many demands have been made upon
him that they have long ago exhausted his supply. He
has been compelled to minister to others while he
himself is in desperate need of a physician.
God Tell The Man Who Cares – p.115
“Lord, I pray for pastors everywhere today who are indeed exhausted and
depleted. The task is so overwhelming and the demands so extreme. Come
today with a fresh breath of Your Spirit to refresh, renew, and restore. Amen.”

HIS LOVE

Isaiah 26:3-4
The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace,
  Because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever,
  For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.

HIS LOVE

Look back as far as you can look,
See the memory of your First Love;
Know God Who formed your heart,
Is the Power that caused it to start.
Stand up now while you can stand,
Believe the truth of His Good News;
Find God Who authored eternal light,
Is Father of all who hope in Christ.
Look forward as far as you can look,
See the destiny of your empty faith;
Trust God Who created every soul,
Is the Wisdom that keeps it whole.
Stand firm if no one else will stand,
Believe the way to Heaven is Jesus;
Know God Who loves you so much,
Is Savior of all who accept His love.

deeper still

Ephesians 2:6-7 (NIV)
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

DEEPER STILL

Deeper still this holy faith
Is built with rock not sand,
Deeper still foundation rock
Deep inside my soul is God.

Deeper still this love I know
Is anchored on truth not doubt,
Deeper still His promise kept
Deep in my heart He wept.

Are you ”Born Again” saint,
Are you really good enough?
Truth is my friend you can only be saved,
By ”Amazing Grace“ through Jesus’ blood.

It is by grace you have been saved,
through faith–and this not of yourself;
It is the gift of God– none can say they
were able to save themselves from hell.

Deeper still the Cross of Christ,
has canceled out your sinful life;
Deeper still God’s love for you,
has transformed you into someone new!

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

SO WE’D BE BLESSED

This poem was shaped (more or less) by reading
today’s
My Utmost for His Highest. ENJOY!
_________________________________________________________

For me, for you, for us,
Heaven sings a joyful chorus:
One for All and All for One!
Jesus came to die for us,
To save us from eternal death.

The hope, the faith, the love,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
All for One and One for All!
Jesus came that we could die,
To live again in peace and rest.
← →

The blood, the pain, the sorrow,
No day is promised a tomorrow.
Live today for tomorrow we die!
Jesus came that we would live,
To worship Him and do our best.

For me, for you, for us,
Saints in Heaven sing this chorus:
King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Jesus came to go before us,
To lead the way so we’d be blessed.

THROUGH THE WINTER

Here’s a Spring Poem I put together with Galatians 4:4 in mind;
a verse I like to think refers to God’s “perfect time” to introduce
a person to His Son, our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Enjoy!

THROUGH THE WINTER

Through the winter True Life waits,
To redeem the soul of little faith;
Afraid to venture out of the dark,
Love stays ice-cold avoiding warmth.

Through the winter New Life works,
To break the spirit of frozen dirt;
Buried beneath a mountain of doubt,
Faith finally blooms to let love out.

BELIEVE IN JESUS

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world He gave to us His
one and only Son, so that all who believe in
Him would not perish but have eternal life.”

BELIEVE IN JESUS

Where will you go…
When you get old?
What do you think…
Will save you from sin?

Where will you turn?
When will you learn?
You won’t escape from sin,
Unless you’re found in Him.

Refrain:
Come to the Cross of Calvary,
Find your place at Jesus’ feet,
Let the blood from His wounds,
Wash over you,
Then stand up and be new again!

What will you do…
When its your turn to die?
Whether you’re young or you’re old…
Now is your time to make up your mind;
Believe God knows what is right for your soul.

Where will you go…
When you get tired and old?
Why do you think …
You’ll be UP in Heaven with Him,
If you refuse even now to do what you’re told?

Go to refrain:
